Engagement Photo Ideas

  • Published January 16th, 2013 by Point of View by Lou Photography

Every Couple is unique and every proposal is not like the other. Romantic. Comical. Sweet. Why not consider incorporating a photo opportunity that reflects your special moment to help you remember, not that you will likely forget.

Was your proposal at a special location, say the Ballard Locks, the Space Needle, your favorite park or beach.  Consider have your photo session in one of these location.  Dash and Jessica chose to have their engagement photos at Seattle University becuase that is where they spend lots of time, Dash is a student there.  Robert and Tessa choose to have theirs at the Illahee State Park where they spend lots of time with kids and their dog.  These are just two examples of how couples have made their wedding photos or engagement photos in a special place.

So my advice, be your self, have fun and get creative with your engagement photos.

And it just so happens that this is the type of wedding and engagement photography that you'll find here at Point of View by Lou Wedding photography!

Alan & Cladia's Wedding

  • Published January 14th, 2013 by Point of View by Lou Photography

So much planning goes into a wedding to make it the very best it can me. We plan every detail because it is important, yet there is one thing that we simply have no control over - the weather.  For Alan and Claudia this was the case October 6th, 2012 began as a drizzle continued all through the wedding's evening.  So what is a couple to do? I would suggest that when choosing a venue that you ask about a back up plan in case of inclement weather.

Fortunately, Alan and Claudia choose one of my favorite venues - Canterwood Golf and Country Club. This beautiful venue is locate in the South Puget Sound on the Peninula and minutes from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Gig Harbor WA.  In addition to the picturesque golf courses, the event facilities are supurb, including an inclement weather space! You'll want to contact Rebecca Magyar at 253-666-8502

Another favorite vendor that I adore is Jen's Blossom. Claudia's  wedding flowers in shades of violet were the perfect compliment to her cream wedding gown.  The flower adorned the bridal arch, the cake and centerpiece.  In addition to floral design, Jen's Blossom's  provides event design.  And because no two events are the same, Jen provides each couple with a custom proposal.  You can contact Jen at or at 253-678-2311

Finally, Alan and Claudia's beautiful and delicous cake was provided by  Tortes-N-Tartes you can contact Kelly Hopper the English Patisser at or at 253-857-5425

These are my favorite  photos from their wedding

A Bride and the Shoes

  • Published November 5th, 2012 by Mary Lou Guinn
Every woman has an idea of what her perfect wedding shoe should be.

Recently the brides that we've photographed have have amazing shoes. Rachel chose a satin purple heels with rhinestone peep toe. The purple matched the wrap that she wore later in the evening for the outdoor summer wedding.

Jessica wore a red stilettos with her modern short wedding gown. The shoes matched the beautiful red floral & feather arrangement in here hair.

Claudia wore platform stilettos adorned with rhinestones - the perfect fit for her gown and jewelry that she wore. Later she switched shoes for the dance floor to the perfect black dancing shoe with rhinestones of course!

The fact is that every bride wants to have something unique that sets her apart from the hundreds of other weddings happening. She wants her personality to show on her special day.
And ond of the easiest ways to do that is thru those wedding shoes!

One of the many details and decisions to make for the wedding, this one may be the most fun for a bride!

So who is ready to go shoe shopping?!? Have fun finding that perfect pair!
